Lost Phone

Recently I saw a few post in Facebook mentioning their lost or misplaced Android Phone, notably Samsung S3 and HTCs. To make it even worse, these lost phones are NEW phone, which made the users really sad and disheartened. Phone iOS users (iPhone and iPad), it is very simple, you just need to activate “Find My iPhone” features using iCloud and you all set.

But how about Android? The problem with Android phone, this feature for locating your lost phone is not standard. Different phone have different method and if there are, it is quite complicated where you need to enter IMEI, register your serial numbers and others.

I looked around for solutions. Apparently it is quite simple. I previously wrote this article on AirDroid for Syncing files. Apparently they have upgraded their features and surprisingly, AirDroid has now include the “Find My Phone” features.

With this new feature, like the one available for iCloud (iOS), you can now Play Sound, locate the thief, lock the phone (lost mode) and completely wipe your phone. And coming soon, the Airdroid will take the photo of the thief who tried but failed to unlock your device.

Happy trying!
