Based on my previous post on Setting Up Corporate Exchange Mail with Apple Mail and Apple Mail + OS X Lion + Exchange Server 2003?, a lot of you’re a waiting for this tutorial.

Below are the steps that you need to follow:

Step 1:

Your company Exchange server has already been upgraded from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 or 2010. In the company that I am currently working, the Exchange server has been upgraded to Exchange 2010. Yeah!

Step 2 (Very Important Step): (Update 13/1/2013 – This step 2 is no longer required if you’re aware from the latest e-mail from ICT)

Please check with your company’s IT Administrator for Outlook Anywhere authorisation. You’ll need this feature to be enabled in order for it to work with Apple Mail or Exchange 2011.

For those who works in the same company with me (you know which company. :) ), you’ll need to fill in IP602 form. It is very simple, just fill in the form and get your superior to approve it. Once approved, you’ll get the access for the following:

Multiple e-mail access method available
a. Outlook Anywhere (access your Corporate Email via your Outlook client directly from Internet such as Apple Mail and Outlook 2011)
b. Active Sync for your mobile device (Windows Phone, iPad, iPhone, Android Smartphone and Tablet)
c. Internet Webmail

Once you’ve submitted to your IT Administrator, they will activate the services for your usually with 1-3 days.

Step 3 - Configure You E-mail:

a) Go to ‘System Preference’.

b) At system preference, choose ‘Mail, Contact and Calendars’.

c) From the screen you’ll be given a few choice of email types to configure, such as Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud , Exchange and other. Choose ‘Microsoft Exchange.

d) On the next step, you’ll be prompted for your Full Name, Email Address and Password. Fill on all the login details.

e) If you receive 2 messages on the “cannot verify on the  identify of server”, click OK on both.

f) If you see the screens below, the setup is successful! Yeah!

Step 4: Check your E-mail

Now you’re ready to go. Open Apple Mail, check your e-mail and explore.

p/s: If you have Outlook 2011, you have try similar method to have e-mail access.

(Update 13/1/2013 – Step 2 is no longer required if you’re aware from the latest e-mail from ICT)
